Flowstep gives you control over how and when you pay. You can choose monthly or annual billing when you subscribe, and you can cancel at any time without losing access for the remainder of your paid period.

Who can manage billing

In an organization, only the Owner — the person who created the organization — can manage billing. The Owner is the only person who sees the Plan & Billing page in Settings and the Upgrade buttons in the app. Admins can add and remove people, but they can’t upgrade, downgrade, change seats, or cancel the subscription — seat changes only sync to the subscription through the Owner. See Organizations for the full role breakdown.

Billing cycles

When you subscribe to a paid Flowstep plan, you choose between two billing options:
  • Monthly — you are charged once per month on your billing date.
  • Annual — you are charged once per year. Your full year is billed upfront at the start of the billing period.
Paid plans are billed per seat: your total is the plan’s per-seat price multiplied by the number of seats — one for each Owner, Admin, and Member in your organization. Guests are free and don’t count. Adding people mid-cycle is prorated, so you only pay for the remainder of the period. See Seats for details. Plan upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Choosing annual billing saves you up to 20% compared to paying month-to-month. If you plan to use Flowstep regularly, the annual plan is the most cost-effective option.

Managing your subscription

The Owner manages the subscription from Settings → Plan & Billing. On the free tier or a trial, the page shows an Upgrade button that opens the plan picker. On a paid plan, it shows a Manage button instead, which opens the billing portal where you manage your payment details and subscription.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Flowstep subscription at any time — there are no cancellation fees or lock-in periods. To cancel, the Owner opens the billing portal via Manage on the Plan & Billing page. The Owner receives an email confirming the cancellation and the date it takes effect.
When you cancel, your subscription does not end immediately. You retain full access to your plan’s features and remaining messages until the end of your current billing period. After that, your organization moves to the Free plan with a single seat — the Owner keeps edit access, and any other members become read-only until you upgrade again.

Invoices

After each billing cycle, Flowstep automatically generates an invoice for your payment. You can download past invoices at any time through the billing portal. See Invoices for instructions.
