Flowstep measures your usage in messages. Each plan includes a set number of messages per day and per month. Understanding how messages are counted — and when your limits reset — helps you get the most out of your plan.

What is a message?

Every time you send a prompt to Flowstep, that counts as one message. This includes initial design requests and follow-up prompts to refine or iterate on an existing design.
If your request results in an error, that attempt does not count toward your message limit. You will not lose a message due to a failed generation.

Usage limits

Depending on your plan, you have both a daily message limit and a monthly message limit. Once you reach either limit, you’ll need to wait for it to reset before sending more prompts.

When limits reset

Your limits reset on a fixed schedule:
  • Monthly limits reset on the 1st of each month, regardless of when you signed up or last used Flowstep.
  • Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC every day.
If you’re unsure what time 00:00 UTC corresponds to in your timezone, you can use any timezone converter to find the equivalent local time.

Staying within your limits

If you consistently reach your daily or monthly limits, consider upgrading to a higher plan. Visit the Pricing page or the Flowstep website to compare plan options.
